Støvfilter 3M 6098 til åndedrætsværn i 6000-serien

The 3M Gas/Particulate Filter 6098 is a replacement cartridge designed for use with 3M 6000 series full-face respirators. It combines activated carbon for removal of organic gases and vapours with a fibreglass particulate element to reduce dust and airborne particles. The filter uses a bayonet connection for secure attachment and a lightweight polystyrene casing with a trapezoid shape that maintains a wide field of vision while covering mouth and nose.

Advantages

The activated carbon layer provides adsorption of organic compounds with boiling points below +65°C, and the fibreglass element captures particulates. The bayonet fitting ensures quick and reliable locking to compatible 3M full-face masks. The polystyrene housing is lightweight to reduce facial load, and the trapezoid form improves wearer field of view without obstructing vision.

How to use

Attach the 3M 6098 filter to a compatible 6000 series full-face respirator using the bayonet connection until it clicks into place. Use only with approved 3M full-face masks; do not fit to incompatible models. Replace the filter immediately if breathing becomes difficult, if you detect breakthrough of odour or taste, or after the single continuous use period recommended for your environment. Dispose of the used filter as hazardous waste following local regulations.

Recommendations

Ensure the respirator is correctly fitted and seal-tested before entry into contaminated areas. Select the 3M 6098 only when protection against low-boiling organic vapours (<+65°C) plus particulates is required. Do not reuse the filter; monitor exposure conditions and replace filters as recommended by safety guidance and local workplace procedures.
