Supermicro 50 cm NVMe-kabel

For server builders and storage professionals, the Supermicro 50cm NVMe Cable (IKNV1) delivers a direct, high-bandwidth link between a SlimSAS 8i host port and two U.2 NVMe SSDs. Unlike generic breakout cables that often compromise signal integrity, this cable is engineered specifically for Supermicro X11, X12, and X13 platforms, ensuring reliable PCIe Gen4 performance across all eight lanes. With gold-plated contacts and EMI shielding, it maintains clean data transmission even in dense, high-vibration chassis environments.

Highlights

• Connects one SlimSAS 8i (SFF-8654) port to two U.2 (SFF-8639) NVMe drives
• Supports PCIe Gen4 speeds with backward compatibility to Gen3
• 50 cm length provides flexible routing without excess slack
• Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and ensure consistent contact
• EMI shielding reduces interference for stable data integrity
• RoHS compliant and built for internal server use

In daily use

Installation is straightforward: plug the SlimSAS 8i connector into a compatible motherboard or RAID controller, then attach up to two U.2 NVMe SSDs. The 50 cm length is ideal for mid-tower and rackmount chassis, allowing clean cable management without blocking airflow. Whether you're upgrading a workstation or configuring a high-performance storage server, this cable delivers the throughput needed for demanding workloads like virtualization, database acceleration, and AI/ML data pipelines.
