How to use

Select the correct pliers for the retaining ring standard and size. Position the straight tips into the ring eyes, squeeze the handles to open the ring and either expand or compress the ring as required for removal or installation. Use the opening spring to restore the tool to the open position between operations and rely on the clamping protection to keep the ring secure while positioning. Maintain controlled hand pressure to avoid slipping or damaging the ring.

Recommendations

Inspect the tips before use for wear or deformation; replace the pliers if tips are damaged. Clean and lightly oil the pivot periodically to maintain smooth operation. Use correct-sized tips and appropriate protective eyewear when working with retaining rings.
