Advantages

The adapter provides high-resolution video output up to 3840 x 2160 pixels and uses a reliable Atmel chipset for stable signal transmission. Its compact black design and flexible, thin coaxial cable make it convenient to route and handle, while compatibility with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 devices that support DisplayPort Alternate Mode ensures broad device support.

Suitable for

• Connecting a DisplayPort monitor to a laptop with USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 (DisplayPort Alt Mode)
• Expanding a MacBook or Chromebook display setup
• Using a single-cable connection for high-resolution external displays (up to 4K UHD)

• Chipset: Atmel
• Connectors: USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 (source) to DisplayPort (monitor)
• Product colour: Black

How to use

Connect the USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 end of the cable to a device that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Plug the DisplayPort connector into the monitor. Set the monitor input to DisplayPort if required and configure display settings on the host device to select resolution and display arrangement. No additional drivers are normally required for native DisplayPort Alternate Mode operation.

Recommendations

Ensure the host device’s USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode before use. For best results at 3840 x 2160, verify that the host device and monitor both support the desired resolution and refresh rate; use short cable runs to minimize signal loss.
