Vægdæksel ShiverPeaks BS83913

The ShiverPeaks BS83913 wall plate is a single-gang, universal switch cover designed to fit standard UK-style switches and sockets. Made to combine a clean visual finish with durable protection, this wall plate provides a neat surface around electrical switches while concealing mounting hardware and wiring edges. The product is supplied as one plate and is intended for indoor residential and light commercial use.

Advantages

The wall plate offers a simple, low-profile appearance that complements a range of interior styles. Constructed from a robust material, it resists daily wear and maintains its finish over time. Installation is straightforward, requiring only basic tools, and the plate aligns with standard switch dimensions to ensure a secure fit and consistent coverage.

Suitable for

• Replacing existing single-gang switch covers in homes and offices
• Finishing new electrical installations with a standard switch
• Updating room decor where a neutral, unobtrusive wall plate is required
• Light commercial environments that use standard switch fittings

Key specifications

• Type: Single-gang wall plate (single pack)
• Compatibility: Fits standard single switch sizes and mounting patterns
• Material: Durable thermoplastic (non-metallic finish)
• Finish: Neutral, smooth surface appropriate for painting or cleaning
• Intended use: Indoor residential and light commercial applications

How to use

Before installation, switch off the circuit at the consumer unit and verify power is isolated. Remove the existing switch cover by unscrewing the retaining screws and gently pulling the plate away from the wall. Position the ShiverPeaks BS83913 wall plate over the switch, align the fixing holes with the existing mounting points, and secure using the original or supplied screws. After tightening, restore power and check switch operation. For painting or cleaning, use recommended products for the plate material and avoid abrasive cleaners that may dull the finish.

Recommendations

Ensure electrical isolation before any removal or installation. For any non-standard switch types or if wiring must be modified, consult a qualified electrician. Regular cleaning with a mild detergent will maintain the plate's appearance; avoid solvents and abrasive pads.
