Vandpumpetang Knipex 88 02 250

The Knipex 88 02 250 tongue-and-groove pliers offer increased output and user comfort compared with conventional water pump pliers of the same length. With a 9-notch adjustment providing approximately 30% more gripping capacity, a slim head and joint for good access to the workpiece, and self-locking action on pipes and nuts, these pliers deliver stable gripping with low hand force. The tool features hardened gripping surfaces (teeth hardness approx. 61 HRC), a box-joint design for high stability, robust construction resistant to dirt, a finger guard to prevent pinching, and slim two-colour multi-component sleeves without a collar for improved handling and easier transport. Made from chrome vanadium electric steel, forged and oil-hardened.

Advantages

Nine-position adjustment increases gripping range and capacity while the slim head allows access in confined spaces. Hardened teeth provide high wear resistance and secure hold; the self-locking mechanism reduces required hand force and prevents slipping. The box-joint double guide ensures stability under load and the robust, dirt-tolerant construction makes the pliers suitable for outdoor work. An integrated guard protects fingers during use, and ergonomic multi-component handles improve handling and transportation.

How to use

Place the jaws on the pipe or nut, allowing the self-locking action to engage; apply steady hand pressure to turn or hold the part. The slim head and joint position help access confined spaces. After use, wipe the pliers clean and store them in a dry place to maintain the oil-hardened finish and prevent corrosion.

Recommendations

Use the Knipex 88 02 250 for tasks requiring strong, stable grip in restricted spaces. Avoid using the pliers on live electrical parts and do not use them as a hammer. Regularly check the condition of the teeth and handles; replace the tool if severe wear or deformation is observed.
