Afisoleringstang Knipex 11 05 160

The Knipex 11 05 160 cable stripper is a compact hand tool designed for precise removal of insulation from single, multiple and fine‑stranded conductors with plastic or rubber insulation. It accommodates conductor diameters up to 5.0 mm or cable cross sections up to 10 mm². The tool combines a forged, oil‑hardened special tool steel blade with a comfortable plastic handle for controlled, repeatable stripping results.

Advantages

Adjustable knurled screw with lock nut allows easy setting to the required diameter for solid or stranded wire. The stripper is made from special tool steel, forged and oil‑hardened for durability. Its compact 160 mm length and light weight (approx. 157 g) provide good handling and manoeuvrability in confined spaces.

Suitable for

• Stripping insulation from single core conductors up to 5.0 mm diameter
• Stripping multi‑core and fine‑stranded cables up to 10 mm² cross section
• Electrical installation, maintenance and network cabling work

How to use

Select the approximate diameter using the knurled adjustment screw and secure the setting with the lock nut. Place the insulated conductor into the stripper so the blade aligns with the insulation to be removed, then rotate or pull the tool as appropriate to cut the insulation and withdraw it from the conductor. For fine‑stranded conductors adjust the screw to a shallower cut to avoid nicking the strands.

Recommendations

For safe and effective stripping, verify the adjusted blade depth on a scrap piece of the same cable before working on live installations. Do not use the tool on hardened steel conductors or conductors with unknown insulation materials.
