Busch-Jaeger multi-sensor BW180 64764-884 (2CKA006800A3004)

Managing lighting in large rooms often means either leaving lights on unnecessarily or fumbling for switches in the dark. The Busch-Jaeger Multi Sensor BW180 solves this by combining motion detection and light level measurement in one flush-mounted unit, automatically switching lights on only when needed and off when the area is empty.

Who is it for

This sensor is ideal for hallways, stairwells, offices, and other spaces where hands-free lighting control improves convenience and energy efficiency. It suits electricians and homeowners looking for a reliable 230 V motion detector that integrates seamlessly with the Busch-Watchdog system.

Main features

• Passive infrared (PIR) sensor with 180° detection angle and 28 zones on 3 levels for comprehensive coverage.
• Adjustable brightness threshold from 5 to 1000 lux, so lights activate only when ambient light is insufficient.
• Adjustable time delay from 10 seconds to 30 minutes, keeping lights on as long as needed after the last movement.
• High switching capacity: up to 2300 W for incandescent/halogen loads and 1150 VA for fluorescent/LED loads.
• Flush-mounted design in alpine white thermoplastic housing, blending discreetly into ceilings or walls.

Tips

For best coverage, mount the sensor at the recommended height of 2.20 m and avoid pointing it directly at windows or heat sources that may cause false triggers. Adjust the brightness threshold and time delay during commissioning to match the room's usage patterns.
