Equip LC/SC fiber-patchkabel, OM4, 5 m

The equip® Fiber Optic Adapter Cable is constructed from quality materials to deliver consistent optical performance with low insertion loss and good return loss. This Fiber Optic Patch Cable (OM4) is 5 m long with a 50 µm core diameter and supports full-duplex communication. It pairs LC and SC connectors to provide compatibility with a wide range of network devices and transceivers.

Advantages

This LC/SC OM4 patch cable offers stable high-speed data transmission and low attenuation across the link. The combination of LC and SC connectors simplifies connection to equipment with different port types. The 50 µm OM4 multimode fiber is optimized for short- and medium-range applications and helps maintain signal integrity in modern network environments.

Suitable for

• Data center cabling and patch panels
• LAN and backbone fiber links
• Network equipment interconnects (switches, routers, transceivers)
• Short- to medium-distance multimode fiber installations

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for dust or damage before use and clean if necessary. Insert the LC connector into an LC port and the SC connector into an SC port until each connector clicks or seats securely. Use the cable to interconnect patch panels, transceivers, switches, or other fiber-enabled devices. Avoid sharp bends and secure the cable to prevent strain at connector ends.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, store and handle the OM4 patch cable in a clean environment, keep bend radius above manufacturer minimums, and use appropriate cleaning tools for connector endfaces. Choose patch lengths that minimize excess slack and reduce optical loss from unnecessary bends.
