Fiberkabel Helos 10 m OM3 ST

The Helos 10m OM3 ST fibre optic cable provides a 10-metre duplex link designed for high-speed multimode networks. Built with a 50 µm core diameter and OM3 multimode specification, this cable supports elevated bandwidth for short- to medium-range data transmission. Both ends are fitted with ST connectors, offering reliable bayonet-style mating for patch panels, switches and transceivers in data centers and structured cabling installations.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable combines OM3 multimode performance with a 10 m length to balance reach and manageability. The 50 µm core supports increased modal bandwidth compared with standard multimode types, enabling higher data rates over typical enterprise distances. ST connectors provide secure mechanical engagement and wide compatibility with legacy multimode equipment. The full duplex design carries separate transmit and receive fibres for simultaneous bidirectional communication.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between equipment and patch panels
• Inter-rack or intra-rack multimode connections
• Network switches, transceivers and legacy ST-enabled devices
• Short- to medium-distance high-bandwidth multimode links

Key specifications

• Cable length: 10 metres
• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: ST to ST (both ends)
• Configuration: Full duplex (separate transmit and receive fibres)
• Typical application: Short- to medium-range high-speed data links

How to use

Ensure both connected devices accept ST-style multimode connectors and that the link requirements match OM3 multimode characteristics. Gently insert each ST connector into the mating bulkhead or transceiver and twist the bayonet coupling until it locks. Avoid bending the cable beyond the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and protect the fibre ends from dust—use dust caps when the cable is not connected. For duplex operation, verify correct pairing of transmit and receive channels at both ends to establish proper communication.

Recommendations

Use this OM3 fibre cable for short- to medium-range multimode links where ST connectors are required; store with dust caps on unused ends, avoid tight bends, and confirm polarity to maintain reliable high-speed performance.
