Fiberoptisk transceivermodul PLANET MGB-LA20

The PLANET MGB-LA20 is an SFP fiber optic transceiver module supporting 1000 Mbit/s data rate and operating at a 1310 nm wavelength. Designed for easy hot-pluggable integration into SFP-compliant ports, it enables duplex data links over single-mode fiber and is compatible with devices that accept SFP Mini-GBIC modules. The module extends network reach beyond copper limits and is suitable for network expansion and upgrades where a single-mode 1310 nm SFP is required.

Advantages

The MGB-LA20 follows the SFP Multisource Agreement (MSA) and supports hot-pluggable installation without interrupting host operation. It provides a standardized, compact SFP form factor for simple deployment in switches and other SFP-capable equipment. With a 1310 nm wavelength and single-mode fiber support, it enables long-distance gigabit Ethernet links and reliable high-speed transmission.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet uplinks between switches and routers
• Network expansion and upgrades requiring SFP single-mode modules
• Long-reach fiber connections in enterprise and carrier networks

Key specifications

• Brand: PLANET
• Model / MPN: MGB-LA20
• Interface type: SFP (Mini-GBIC)
• Maximum data transfer rate: 1000 Mbit/s
• Wavelength: 1310 nm

How to use

Insert the MGB-LA20 module into an available SFP slot on compatible network equipment while the device is powered on; the hot-pluggable design allows installation without shutting down the host. Connect a single-mode fiber cable with appropriate LC connectors to the module, ensuring correct transmit/receive orientation. Verify link status on the host device and configure network settings (speed, duplex, VLANs) as required by your network design.

Recommendations

Use single-mode fiber and LC connectors rated for 1310 nm, observe proper fiber handling and bend-radius limits, and install the transceiver in equipment that accepts SFP MSA modules. For industrial environments, confirm device operating-temperature specifications match your deployment needs.
