Flækkejern DeWALT DW682K

The DeWALT DW682K Biscuit Joiner is a handheld power tool designed for making accurate biscuit joints in woodworking. It features a powerful motor with an idle speed of 10,000 RPM and an adjustable one-piece fence that tilts from 0° to 90°. The joiner is compact and lightweight at approximately 3 kg, with a width of 320 mm and a height of 150 mm. The kit includes a Torx wrench and the tool’s high-visibility yellow finish aids locating it on the job site.

Advantages

The DW682K offers a high idle speed for clean, precise cuts even in harder woods. Its dual rack-and-pinion fence system maintains blade-to-fence parallelism for consistent joint alignment. The integral one-piece fence is adjustable and provides a 0–90° tilt range for a variety of joint angles. Compact dimensions and moderate weight improve handling and reduce operator fatigue during prolonged use.

Suitable for

• Creating biscuit joints in furniture assembly
• Edge joining and panel alignment in cabinet making
• Joinery tasks requiring accurate angled cuts (0–90°)
• Work with hardwoods and softwoods

Start the joiner, make the cut for each biscuit slot, and insert biscuits with adhesive as required. Allow glue to cure before applying load.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection. Use the tool on stable work supports, and ensure the workpiece is clamped securely. For best results on hardwoods, use correct blade type and feed at a steady pace to maintain clean slots.
