Gira relæindsats potentialfri 540700

When a lighting circuit demands galvanic isolation or a control signal must switch a separate load without voltage feedback, the Gira Relay Insert Potential-Free 540700 provides a clean, reliable solution. This flush-mounted relay insert offers one normally open (NO) potential-free contact, making it ideal for switching ohmic, inductive, or capacitive loads up to 10 A resistive or 6 AX inductive at 250 V AC. It integrates seamlessly with Gira System 55, E2, Event, Esprit, and compatible cover frames, allowing you to combine it with a rocker or push-button of your choice for a tailored installation.

Who is it for

Electricians, system integrators, and advanced DIY enthusiasts who need a robust, potential-free switching element for lighting, fans, or other electrical loads in residential or commercial buildings. It suits projects where a standard switch insert cannot provide the required isolation or where the load must be controlled by a separate circuit or automation system.

Main features

• Potential-free 1 NO contact for flexible switching applications
• Rated for 250 V AC, 50/60 Hz with 10 A resistive (AC1) and 6 AX inductive (AC3) capacity
• Supports ohmic, inductive, and capacitive loads
• Screw terminals for secure, maintenance-free connections
• Flush-mounted design with approximate installation depth of 32 mm
• Halogen-free thermoplastic housing for environmental safety
• Compatible with Gira System 55, E2, Event, Esprit, and other cover frames
• Requires external rocker or push-button for operation

Tips

For a complete installation, pair this relay insert with a suitable Gira rocker or push-button cover from the System 55 range. Ensure the connected load does not exceed the rated switching capacity to avoid premature contact wear. The potential-free contact is well suited for controlling low-voltage circuits or integrating with building automation systems that require isolated dry contacts.
