Gira System 55 frame insert in black is a front element designed to fit into Gira System 55 modular frames and compatible devices. It provides a uniform visible surface for mounting switches, sockets and control modules, enabling a consistent appearance across residential and commercial electrical installations where a black finish is required. The insert is intended as part of the System 55 concept, allowing easy replacement or rearrangement of functional modules without changing the surrounding frame.

Advantages

The black frame insert offers precise fit and alignment with other System 55 components, maintaining flush installation and even gaps. Its standard dimensions and cutouts simplify module installation and replacement, reducing installation time. The neutral black finish helps conceal fingerprints and minor surface wear while matching contemporary interior designs. The insert supports a modular approach, making future upgrades or changes to switchgear straightforward.

How to use

Install the insert by aligning it with a compatible System 55 frame and pressing it into place until it snaps or seats securely according to the frame’s mounting mechanism. With the insert fitted, install the required switches, sockets or control modules into the internal mounting points following the device manufacturer’s wiring and safety instructions. For replacement, remove the existing insert by gently releasing the retention points and withdraw it before inserting the new black frame element.

Recommendations

Ensure power is isolated before performing installation or replacement. Verify compatibility with the specific System 55 frame and functional modules prior to purchase. Clean the surface with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
