Infrarød el-radiator, Olympia, BS 55

The Olympia BS 55 is an infrared electric space heater designed for floor placement. It provides a variable heating output with a nominal power of 2000 W and a reduced setting down to 650 W, allowing adjustment to different room sizes and comfort requirements. The unit is finished in black, connects via a 1.9 m power cord and is rated IPX4 for protection against water splashes. Its compact footprint and vertical profile make it suitable for placement along walls or in corners where a steady infrared heat source is required.

Advantages

The heater delivers direct infrared heating that warms objects and people rather than only heating air, improving perceived comfort and reducing heat loss from drafts. With two selectable power levels it offers operational flexibility and energy control. The IPX4 rating increases installation options by permitting use in environments where occasional water splashes may occur, and the 1.9 m cord provides placement convenience without immediate proximity to a wall socket. The product’s vertical design occupies minimal floor area while providing a substantial heating output.

Suitable for

• Heating living rooms and medium-sized indoor spaces
• Supplementary heat in workshops, garages or utility rooms
• Temporary or seasonal heating where quick infrared warmth is needed

How to use

Position the heater on a stable, level floor surface clear of obstructions and at a safe distance from flammable materials. Plug the unit into a properly rated AC 220–240 V, 50 Hz outlet using the provided 1.9 m cord. Select the required power setting to reach the desired warmth; use the lower 650 W setting for economical background heating and the 2000 W setting for faster temperature increase. Do not cover the heater or block the infrared elements while operating. Turn the device off and disconnect from mains before moving, cleaning or performing any maintenance.

Recommendations

For safe and efficient operation, maintain at least the manufacturer’s recommended clearance around the heater, avoid continuous unattended use in occupied sleeping areas, and ensure the unit is installed on a heat-resistant surface. In environments with high humidity, verify that placement complies with IPX4 limitations and local electrical safety rules. Regularly inspect the power cord for damage and do not use the appliance if the cord or plug is compromised.
