InLine® Computer Power Switch Remote Cable, sort, 2 m

For users who need to power on their desktop PC from a distance, this remote power switch cable from InLine offers a straightforward solution. Unlike standard case buttons that are fixed in place, this cable brings the power control to wherever you need it—whether that’s on your desk, under a monitor riser, or in a custom enclosure. It connects directly to the motherboard’s power switch header and provides a simple push-button switch at the end of a 2-metre cable, making it ideal for test benches, server racks, or accessibility setups.

Highlights

• Extends the PC power button up to 2 metres away from the motherboard
• Compatible with standard ATX motherboards via the 2-pin power switch header
• Durable black PVC jacket and plastic switch housing for long-term reliability
• Simple installation: plug onto the PWR_SW pins and route the cable as needed
• Ideal for test benches, custom builds, and situations where the case button is inaccessible

In daily use

This remote cable is a practical accessory for anyone who regularly works with open-air test benches, server chassis without front panels, or simply wants a more convenient power button location. The push-button switch provides tactile feedback, and the 2-metre length gives you flexibility in positioning. The cable is lightweight and unobtrusive, so it can be routed cleanly inside a case or along a desk. Since it uses a standard 2-pin connector, it works with virtually any motherboard that has a PWR_SW header—no drivers or software required.
