Justerbar skruenøgle Knipex 87 41 250

The Knipex 87 41 250 adjustable spanner is a versatile tightening tool combining push-button one-handed adjustment with powerful, zero-backlash gripping jaws. It fits metric and imperial hexagonal nuts and screws from 10 to 32 mm (3/8" to 1 1/4") and provides secure gripping even on rounded, rusty or thick-coated fasteners. Constructed from chrome vanadium electric steel, forged and oil-hardened, it features a box-joint design for stability, a comfortable plastic handle and a ratchet-like action for quick tightening.

Advantages

The self-locking mechanism from 17 mm prevents slipping on the workpiece while zero-backlash jaw action avoids rounding bolt heads. Push-button adjustment allows fast size changes directly on the workpiece, including one-handed operation. The tool replaces a set of wrenches for many tasks, offers favourable lever transmission of force, a guard to protect fingers, and reliable hinge-bolt retention to prevent unintentional shifting.

Suitable for

• Metric and imperial nuts and screws from 10 to 32 mm (3/8" to 1 1/4")
• Tightening or loosening rounded, rusty or thick-coated bolts and screws
• Automotive brake system maintenance and vehicle repairs
• Situations where you would otherwise use multiple spanners or locknut tightening

How to use

Select the appropriate jaw opening by pressing the push-button and sliding the movable jaw onto the fastener; this can be done directly on the workpiece and with one hand when required. Ensure the jaws fully engage the flats of the nut or bolt, then apply steady force—use the ratchet-like motion for quicker tightening or loosening. For particularly seized or corroded fasteners, work incrementally and re-seat the jaws as needed to maintain secure, zero-backlash grip.

Recommendations

Use the Knipex 87 41 250 for tasks that require adaptable, strong gripping: automotive repairs (including brake systems), maintenance of corroded or rounded fasteners, and situations where a single adjustable spanner can replace several fixed wrenches. Do not use the tool on nut/bolt sizes outside the specified 10–32 mm range or as a hammering tool; inspect the jaws regularly and keep them clean and lightly oiled to maintain performance.
