Kablet router DrayTek Vigor2766

The DrayTek Vigor2766 is a wired router with an integrated G.fast-capable DSL modem and a configurable Ethernet WAN for backup. It supports VDSL2 profile 35b supervectoring and ADSL2+ for backward compatibility, and provides features such as VPN, VPN Matcher, QoS, firewall, content filtering, bandwidth management, captive hotspot portal and central AP management. Models in the Vigor2766 series may include built-in 11ac Wave 2 Wi‑Fi; the device offers Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, multiple USB ports and a compact white enclosure.

Advantages

The router delivers fiber-like DSL speeds via G.fast while retaining compatibility with existing VDSL2 and ADSL2+ lines. It includes comprehensive security and remote-access features (site-to-site VPN, VPN Matcher and DrayDDNS) and granular bandwidth controls (QoS, session and bandwidth limit policies). Built-in tools for VoIP prioritisation, web content filtering and a captive hotspot portal simplify deployment for small offices and managed guest networks, while central AP management enables unified control of DrayTek access points.

Suitable for

• Small and home offices requiring high-speed DSL and Ethernet WAN failover
• Businesses needing site-to-site VPNs and remote access for teleworkers
• Environments that require bandwidth management and VoIP prioritisation
• Locations offering guest Wi‑Fi with captive portal and content filtering
• Networks using DrayTek access points that benefit from central AP management

How to use

Connect the Vigor2766 to your DSL line or Ethernet WAN and power it on. Use the web management interface (HTTP/HTTPS) or supported management protocols (Telnet/SSH) to run the initial setup wizard: configure WAN type (G.fast/DSL or Ethernet backup), set up LAN IP and DHCP, create firewall rules and enable QoS policies. For secure remote access, configure VPN profiles or enable VPN Matcher for routers behind NAT. To provide guest Wi‑Fi, enable the hotspot web portal and define the captive portal settings. Use the central AP management function to add and manage DrayTek access points from the router’s interface.

Recommendations

For stable VoIP and real-time traffic, reserve bandwidth via QoS and session limit policies and use the Ethernet WAN as a failover. Keep firmware up to date and enable secure management access (HTTPS/SSH) and DrayDDNS if remote administration is required.
