Patchkabel Draka Comteq TM31 5 m Cat6a blå

The Draka Comteq TM31 5m Cat6a Blue patch cable is a 5-metre network cable designed to support high-speed Ethernet connections in home and office environments. Constructed to Cat6a performance guidelines, the cable delivers stable data transmission at frequencies up to 500 MHz and is suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short to medium runs. The cable terminates in RJ-45 connectors on both ends and the blue jacket provides easy visual identification in patch panels and cable runs.

Advantages

This Cat6a patch cable offers enhanced shielding and conductor geometry that reduce crosstalk and external interference compared with lower-category cables. The pre-terminated RJ-45 plugs ensure quick installation without special tooling, while the 5-metre length provides flexibility for desk-to-switch or rack-to-equipment connections. The durable jacket resists everyday wear and helps maintain consistent network performance.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, switches and routers within offices and data closets
• Linking networked devices in home offices and multimedia setups
• Patch panel to switch / patch panel to patch panel connections in structured cabling
• Applications requiring 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps performance over short to medium distances

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (Augmented Category 6)
• Length: 5 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Rated frequency: up to 500 MHz
• Supported speeds: designed for up to 10 Gbps over appropriate distances
• Color: blue
• Cable construction: twisted pair conductors with enhanced specifications for reduced crosstalk

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your network device and the other connector into a switch, router or patch panel port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the retention clip clicks to maintain a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and avoid running parallel to high-voltage power cables to reduce potential interference. For best results, verify link speed and duplex settings on connected devices after installation.

Recommendations

Use the cable for runs up to the recommended length and within indoor environments; replace if the jacket or connectors show signs of damage. For critical installations, pair with compatible Cat6a-rated patch panels and switches and test with appropriate certification or verification tools to confirm performance.
