Satellitantenne Televes S85QSD-G

The Televes S85QSD-G satellite antenna is an 85 cm parabolic dish designed for reception in the 10.7–12.75 GHz band. Constructed from lightweight aluminum with a graphite finish, the antenna delivers a quoted gain of 39.5 dBi and is intended for fixed satellite reception where stable, high-sensitivity performance is required. Its dimensions and materials balance wind resistance with ease of mounting, making it suitable for domestic and small-scale professional installations.

Advantages

The antenna provides high gain across the specified Ku-band range, improving signal strength and link margin for standard satellite transponders. Aluminum construction ensures a durable but lightweight assembly that resists corrosion and simplifies handling during installation. The 85 cm diameter offers a compromise between compact footprint and enhanced reception sensitivity, while the graphite finish reduces visible glare and blends with modern facades. The dish geometry and surface accuracy are optimized for consistent performance across the 10.7–12.75 GHz frequency range.

Suitable for

• Residential satellite TV reception and multiswitch distribution
• Small commercial or community satellite reception sites
• Replacement of similar-sized dishes for Ku-band services
• Installations where a compact, high-gain antenna is required

Key specifications

• Operating frequency range: 10.7–12.75 GHz (Ku-band)
• Antenna diameter: 85 cm
• Typical gain: 39.5 dBi
• Material: lightweight aluminum construction
• Finish/color: graphite
• Mounting: standard pole or wall bracket compatible design

How to use

Mount the dish on a suitable pole or wall bracket with a clear line of sight to the target satellite orbital position. Assemble the antenna according to the supplied mechanical instructions, ensuring that fasteners are tightened and the reflector surface is free from deformation. Fit an appropriate LNB and align the dish using signal strength or quality measurements from a satellite meter or receiver. Secure all coaxial connections with weatherproofing and verify reception across intended transponders before finalizing the mount.

Recommendations

For stable long-term reception, choose a mounting location with minimal obstructions and reduced wind exposure. Use an LNB with noise figure and polarization characteristics matched to your service requirements. Apply corrosion-resistant tape or sealing on cable joints and perform periodic inspections to ensure alignment and hardware integrity.
