Sidetang Bahco sidetang 4130

The Bahco Side cutter 4130 diagonal pliers are compact hand tools designed for precision cutting. With a total length of 120 mm and a lightweight construction of approximately 60 g, these side cutters are intended for tasks requiring controlled, accurate cuts. The jaws offer a width of 1.16 cm and a cutting length of 1.1 cm, providing a small, focused cutting area suitable for fine wire and component trimming. The ergonomic profile and balanced weight make the tool easy to position during repetitive or delicate work.

Advantages

These diagonal pliers combine a compact size with a durable build to deliver consistent cutting performance. The short jaw geometry supports precise access in confined spaces, while the low overall weight reduces user fatigue during extended use. The tool is manufactured by a recognized brand, and its dimensions and blade configuration are optimized for accurate shearing of soft and medium-hard materials commonly encountered in electrical, electronics and light mechanical work.

Suitable for

• Cutting insulated and non-insulated wires up to small diameters
• Trimming component leads in electronics assembly and repair
• Precision cutting in jewellery making, modelling and crafts
• General workshop tasks where a compact side cutter is required

Key specifications

• Total length: 120 mm
• Weight: ~60 g
• Jaw width: 1.16 cm
• Jaw length (cutting edge): 1.1 cm
• Tool type: diagonal/side cutter for precision cutting

How to use

Place the material to be cut between the cutting edges near the tip of the jaws for the most accurate result. Apply steady pressure on the handles until the cut is complete, avoiding twisting motions that can damage the cutting edges. For insulated wires, position the insulation so the blade meets the conductor; for component leads or thin metal, align the lead across the cutting edge and make a clean, decisive cut. After use, wipe the tool clean and store in a dry place to maintain performance.

Recommendations

Use the pliers only within their intended capacity: they are suitable for soft and medium-hard wires and small components. Do not use them to cut hardened steel, large bolts, nails, or other materials beyond the specified cutting size to avoid damaging the blades. Regularly inspect the cutting edges for wear and keep the joint lightly lubricated to ensure smooth operation.
