Key specifications

How to use

Connect the microphone to an audio interface, mixer, or preamplifier using a standard XLR cable and enable any required phantom power or gain settings on the connected device if applicable. Position the microphone on a suitable stand or shock mount at the recommended distance for the source being recorded; adjust the angle and height to minimize unwanted plosives and capture the desired tonal balance. Monitor levels through headphones or meters to avoid clipping and set preamp gain so the strongest peaks remain below overload.

Recommendations

For consistent results, use a quality XLR cable and a stable stand or shock mount. When recording vocals, consider using a pop filter and set the microphone 10–30 cm from the mouth depending on vocal strength. For instrument capture, experiment with placement to find the best tonal character while monitoring levels to prevent distortion.
