Bevægelsessensor Merten 631719 hvid

The Motion Detector Merten 631719 White is a compact sensor designed to detect movement across a wide 180° field of view. Intended for both indoor and protected outdoor installations, this device monitors activity to support lighting control, security systems, and energy-saving automation. Its low-profile white housing integrates with residential and commercial interiors while offering reliable motion detection performance suitable for corridors, entrances, garages, and covered outdoor areas.

Advantages

This motion detector provides broad coverage with a 180° detection angle, reducing the number of sensors required to monitor a space. It supports energy efficiency by enabling automatic lighting and timed control, helping to lower power consumption. The device’s unobtrusive white design is compatible with common switchgear and interior schemes, and it is engineered for stable detection in typical indoor and protected outdoor conditions.

Suitable for

• Automatic control of lighting in corridors, stairwells, and entrances
• Occupancy detection for energy-saving in offices and communal areas
• Supplemental presence sensing for alarm and access systems
• Covered outdoor locations such as porches, carports, and garages

Key specifications

• Detection angle: 180 degrees
• Color: white housing
• Intended installation: indoor and covered outdoor use
• Primary functions: motion/occupancy detection for lighting and automation

How to use

Mount the detector at a recommended height and position to maximize the 180° coverage of the monitored area, avoiding obstructions that block the sensor’s view. Connect the unit following local electrical codes and the manufacturer’s installation instructions, integrating it with lighting circuits or automation controllers as required. Configure any available timing or sensitivity settings according to the traffic patterns and illumination requirements of the space to ensure reliable activation and appropriate run-on times.

Recommendations

For consistent performance, install the sensor where direct sources of heat or moving foliage will not trigger false detections. Use the detector primarily in sheltered outdoor locations rather than fully exposed areas, and periodically check alignment and cleanliness of the sensor lens to maintain reliable operation.
