Equip LC/LC fiber-patchkabel, OM4, 15 m

The Equip LC/LC Fiber Optic Patch Cable OM4 15m is a 15-metre multimode fiber patch cord with a 50 µm core diameter designed for high-speed data transmission. Manufactured from quality materials, the cable provides consistent insertion loss, return loss and stable endface geometry to support reliable connections in data centres and network environments.

Advantages

This OM4 fiber patch cable supports full-duplex communication and is equipped with LC connectors on both ends for compact and stable mating. The cable’s construction and endface quality reduce optical loss and reflections, contributing to dependable performance for short to medium distance links. A 15 m length offers flexibility for equipment layout within racks and between nearby cabinets.

Suitable for

• Data centres and server rooms
• Network switches and routers with LC ports
• High-speed multimode applications (OM4)
• Patching between racks or cabinets within the same facility

How to use

Route the fiber cable between the two LC ports to be connected, avoiding tight bends and pinch points. Insert the LC connectors into the corresponding ports until they click into place. Ensure both ends are clean before mating by inspecting or cleaning the connector endfaces to minimise insertion loss and reflections. Secure the cable along cable management paths to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

The cable is suitable for indoor use in structured cabling systems. For optimal performance, clean LC connector endfaces before each connection and maintain bend radii according to manufacturer guidelines. Avoid exposure to excessive moisture, dust or mechanical stress.
