Fiberkabel DeLOCK LC duplex til LC duplex OM4 5 m

The DeLOCK Optical Fiber Cable LC Duplex to LC Duplex OM4 5m is a 5-meter OM4 multimode fiber cable with LC duplex connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. It enables full-duplex data transmission between networking devices such as switches and media converters, offering a compact violet-coloured cable suitable for high-speed local area network links.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode specification supports high-speed data transfer and longer modal bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode fibers. LC duplex connectors provide compact, space-saving terminations and the angled connectors can be positioned to the right, left, up or down to facilitate installation in confined spaces. The 5 m length provides flexibility for typical rack and equipment connections.

How to use

Route the fiber cable between the two networking devices, ensuring connectors are clean before insertion. Angle the LC connectors as needed (right, left, up or down) to accommodate the available space and avoid tight bends; maintain the minimum bending radius recommended for multimode fiber. Insert the LC duplex connectors into the appropriate LC ports until they click into place and verify the link with network diagnostics or transceiver status LEDs.

Recommendations

Clean fiber endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before each connection and avoid sharp bends. Use the 5 m length for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment links within the recommended multimode distance limits for OM4.
