Håndkabelsaks Knipex 95 62 190 T

The Knipex 95 62 190 T hand cable cutter is a compact, precision tool for cutting Bowden cable sheaths and traction cable ferrules. With a total length of 190 mm and a weight of 345 g, this hand cutter combines a slim, ergonomic profile with robust forged chrome vanadium steel construction for reliable, long-lasting use.

Advantages

The tool includes two crimping dies for end caps on Bowden cable sheaths and end ferrules for traction cables, an internal opening spring and slim handles for comfortable operation, and a bolted joint that ensures precise blade guidance and can be re-adjusted. High leverage reduces cutting effort while the cutting edges are hardened to approximately 64 HRC. The body is made from multi-stage oil-hardened, forged chrome vanadium heavy-duty steel.

Suitable for

• Cutting end caps on Bowden cable sheaths
• Cutting end ferrules on traction cables
• Precision work in network installation and cable maintenance

How to use

Position the appropriate crimping die over the end cap or ferrule to be cut, align the cutting edges around the cable sheath or ferrule, then squeeze the handles firmly until the cut is complete. The internal opening spring returns the handles to the open position for the next operation. For precision alignment, use the bolted joint to check and, if necessary, re-adjust blade guidance before starting work.

Recommendations

Use the tool only for its intended purpose—cutting Bowden cable sheaths and traction cable ferrules—and avoid cutting hardened wire or materials that exceed the tool’s design. Keep blades clean and lightly lubricated; inspect the bolted joint periodically and re-tighten if required. Store dry to prevent corrosion.
