Serverkabinet Inter-Tech 4U 40255 rack sort, grå

The Inter-Tech 4U 40255 Rack Black, Grey is a server chassis built for rack-mounted installations and high-density storage configurations. With a 4U form factor and steel construction in black and grey, the case supports a broad range of motherboard sizes and multiple drive bays. Cooling is provided by two 120 mm front fans and two 80 mm rear fans to maintain airflow for sustained server operation. Physical dimensions are 485 mm (W) x 595 mm (D) x 177.8 mm (H), making it compatible with standard 19-inch rack cabinets while offering space for numerous internal components.

Advantages

The chassis combines a sturdy steel body with a compact 4U rack profile, providing mechanical rigidity and reliable protection for server hardware. Multiple 3.5" and 2.5" drive bays allow flexible storage layouts for HDDs and SSDs, and the included front and rear fans support an active airflow path for component cooling. Support for a wide range of motherboard form factors increases compatibility with server and workstation platforms. Front panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports enable faster data access for maintenance tasks.

Suitable for

• Rack-mounted file or backup servers requiring multiple drive bays
• Small to medium business servers and virtualization hosts
• Storage-dense applications such as NAS or media servers
• Workstation deployments that need EATX/ATX/SSI motherboard support in a 4U rack

How to use

Install the chassis into a compatible 19-inch rack using the appropriate rails or mounting brackets. Fit the chosen motherboard according to standard standoff positions for the supported form factors, and secure the power supply and cooling components in their designated locations. Populate drive bays with 2.5" or 3.5" storage devices using compatible trays or mounting points. Connect the front-panel USB ports to the motherboard headers and ensure fan connectors are attached to appropriate fan headers or a fan controller. Verify airflow direction and cable routing to maintain unobstructed cooling paths before powering up.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, use appropriately rated server power supplies and enterprise-grade drives for storage-dense deployments. Maintain regular airflow by keeping front intake and rear exhaust vents clear of obstructions, and schedule periodic cleaning of fans and dust filters. When deploying in rack environments, allow sufficient clearance for rear cabling and ensure the rack has adequate ventilation or dedicated cooling to support multiple chassis.
