Serverkabinet Inter-Tech 4U-4424 rack sort, sølv

The Inter-Tech 4U-4424 Rack Black, Silver is a server case designed for 19-inch rack mounting in data centers, server rooms and technical cabinets. Built from metal with a black and silver finish, it supports multiple motherboard sizes including SSI EEB, EATX, ATX, Micro ATX and Mini-ITX. The chassis accepts both 2.5" and 3.5" drives, offers two front USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and is cooled by two 80 mm rear fans. With external dimensions of 480 mm width, 690 mm depth and 178 mm height, the 4U enclosure provides organized internal space for storage arrays, expansion cards and standard ATX power supplies (power supply sold separately).

Advantages

The metal rack chassis provides a stable and durable platform for continuous server operation while the black and silver finish ensures compatibility with standard rack aesthetics. Support for a wide range of motherboard form factors and a large number of 2.5" drive bays enables flexible system builds focused on storage density. Integrated rear fans and front USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports allow for practical connectivity and airflow without requiring additional modifications.

Suitable for

• Small to medium-sized rack-mounted servers
• Storage servers and NAS builds with many 2.5" drives
• Test and development racks for multiple motherboard form factors
• IT rooms requiring a compact 4U enclosure with front I/O

How to use

Mount the Inter-Tech 4U-4424 into a compatible 19" rack using standard rack rails or mounting brackets. Install the chosen motherboard matching one of the supported form factors, secure the ATX power supply in the designated compartment and connect power and front I/O cabling. Populate drive bays with 2.5" or 3.5" drives using appropriate mounting hardware. Ensure the two 80 mm rear fans are connected to the motherboard or fan controller to provide consistent airflow. Cable management can be routed along the chassis sides to maintain airflow and serviceability.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, use a compatible ATX power supply with sufficient wattage and redundancy if needed, monitor internal temperatures, and ensure unobstructed airflow in the rack. When building storage-dense systems, verify drive cooling and consider additional front-to-back airflow solutions if workload or ambient temperatures are high.
